The goal of this event is to connect first-generation and international students with faculty and staff across campus who self-identify as first generation or international, or work in roles that support these populations. Peace Poetry Workshops
A series of 2 workshops, 1.5 hours each, run by "Split with Rock" in collaboration with S-CAR, helping students understand the spoken word as it relates to peace. They will focus on deconstructing existing poems and then reconstructing them into personal works of Peace Poetry. The 7th and 14th will run as workshops then the 21st will be the presentation of the students poems in the Atrium of the JC.

Black Card Revoked Game
Black Card Revoked is a game of questions about black popular culture and history. The purpose of this game is to test your knowledge about NAACP history (local and national) and black culture moments and movements past and present. At the beginning of the semester we will be collecting supplies throughout the community as well as on-campus. Once we are finished collecting all of the school supplies, we will have a packaging gathering/party in the afternoon to organize the supplies into backpacks.
